I need a Loan Modification to help us with Option One

January 09, 2008

We've been with Option One for 2years. We were not aware of the tremendous increase from 6.9 to 9.9. All we were told was that we could refinance in 2 years to a fixed rate. Since then, home values have dropped making it difficult to refi. I've been trying desperately to work with Option One to freeze our rate per Bush Plan or streamline modification which is a program they offer however, I cant seem to get any assistance and I dont want to fall behind. I want to work with them and them work with me to save our home.

I have had similar problems with Option One and they are very difficult to reach, would love to find out who else is having difficulty out there, maybe something can be done?

well, countrywide is the same way. It seems that although bush approved this program, nobody is doing it. I've applied for the rate freeze 3 times and each time they tell me I don't qualify. well if I qualified for the load to begin with, why don't I NOW! Dumb!

Option One is the worst... they are in India and they are liars.. I'm trying to find someone to take my loan from them. I do not like them. Do you have any leanders willing to take over their loans?

I agree with you all Option One is truly the worst. Fell behind after being laid off of second full time job due to the economic slow down and out six months without pay on my primary job due to a neck injury. Option One finally replied with an offer that raised my mortgage by 1,200 dollars and said take it or leave it. I offered to pay 10,000 now and another 7,000 in July which would have left late fees and their bogus attorney fees, Option ones reply we can't help you

I agree with you all. I too had a ARM and it reset and now I cannot afford my payments. My husband left and I have two small children at home. I called to see if I can get a loan modification and instead they wanted they wanted me to reinstatment my loan and I would had to have pay 4000.00 up front and my payments would be 1320.00 for the next 6 months!! Well, I told them if I had that kind of cash my payments would not have got behind. So I sent in all documents they required for a loan modification and lets see if I gets approved. If I dont, I think I am going to seek some advice from a lawayer.

I was with option one and my loan was sold to american home mortgage service and I did get a loan modification through them. I was in foreclosure. My payments went from 787.00 to 436.00. So dont give up. There are alot of programs that should be able to help. Try hud.gov
