I can afford this, why won't they listen and help me avoid foreclosure?

January 04, 2008

I have had a lot of unexpected expenses. House got annexed into the city 2 years ago. Had to put city taxes on my escrow, made payment go up 100.00 in2007. lateral line on septic tank got hole in it. insurance at work went up 100 month. having to pay 200.00 a month to city for annexation. I can afford payment but having a hard time getting caught back up with CITI-RESIDENTIAL/AMC.

I cant believe what I am reading! I also have my mortgage with AMC now Citresidential, and every comment I have read here I can attest to! I have nothing but problems with them as well. I had always been on time with my mortgage payment, until my husband was out of work for 3 months in the summer, they told me there was nothing they could do for me as well! They didnt take into consideration anything I had to say, and they would only accept full payments, there was no such thing as even making a partial pymt. I encounter nothing but rude people. And now I am arguing 245.00 dollars in bank fees with them because they put through a payment one day before they should have when their website clearly indicates in there confirmation after payment is made that the transaction will not be taken from my bank acct until the end of the next business day!!!! that is not true, it came out the same night!!!!!!!!!! I am just besides myself, me too had been told that about calling back a year later to have ny adjustable rate changed to a fix rate and then I call and Im told also that there is no options avail to me at that time. I never heard of such a thing! HELP ME!!!!!!

Citi doesn't care. They filed a foreclosure suit against us. I fell behind after my spouse walked out and left me with a $300k mortgage. Did they care? Nope. Would they modify the loan to an amount I could pay? Nope. Did they quote me one reinstatement amount on the phone and then sent me paperwork that was a higher amount? Absolutely.

I intend to take it to court and let the Judge know exactly what kind of game they're playing.

My payment went up 200.00 a month and they a bunch of reasons why which I proved them wrong by doing the math. I pleaded with them to fix this problem which they never did and then sent me to a rep that I couldn't even understand. My mortgage rate was going to adjust on top of this. I talked with every rude Citi bank rep under the sun and got no where. I finally put my house for short sale thinking that would be the answer "WRONG" Citi residential sent someone to apraise my home mind you my husband and I used all of our savings to fix the home. They came back that they will only settle for 280,000.00 when my offers were below 230,000.00. Go figure. So now my family calls me over the weekend and says did you hear the great news Citi Group is going to give a fixed 40 year loan that is determined by 31% to 38% of your gross pay. Yea I was jumping for joy I could keep my house if thats the case! So I called Good old Citi Residential this morning and told them how do I get this program? She says hold on let me talk to my supervisor. Comes back to the line and tell's me yes they are doing that to original Citi Bank loans only not loans that were bought by other banks. My mouth dropped open "I said well once you buy the loan it's your's correct"? So give me this program. No, she replied I'm sorry only original Citi bank loans not loan that were purchased. As you can see I am very upset there is no way out of this forclosure I feel I have tried everything. Is this fair what they are doing? I have two bs who I hate wondering where they are going to be sleeping in the future. If they forclose on me and then my tax dollers are going to be paying for this bank bailout I will be leaving all faucets on in my house when I go.oh yea and my kids love to draw on the walls now it will be ok!

Figures. I hope they go bankrupt for all the misery they've caused.

I have been back and forth with Citi for a year now. I have filled out paper work for a loan modification and after 4 months they cancelled it and then told me to do it again. I went round and round and then submitted a request for another loan mod and they said it would take 6 - 8 weeks before the would get back to me. Five weeks later I receive a letter afrom attorneys stating the my house is going to forclose and the sell date is Dec 2. So I now have less than 2 weeks to try and figure out a way to save my home. They are not willing to work with me at all, the only way that I can keep my house is a payment plan but I will have to put 14k down and then my monthly payments will be $1445 and they could go uo if if ny interest increases!

Shame on you citimortgage. We have been trying to get our loan m odified froma 15 yr. to a 30 and all you do is give us the run around. what the hell have you done with all the bail out money our tax dollars have paid for?
We should not haave to be going through this with you. I could go on annd on about how I've been trying to get ahold of someone for 5 months and the "counselor" has never returned my calls. Ridiculous, unprofessional and totally unacceptable.

Only a fool or a thief would refuse to accept a $1600 payment monthly with a balance of $192,000 for a 30 year mortgage, but chooses to foreclose and render the property less than $100,000 in value in a depressed area where houses sit for years.

No, the only payment you will accept is 3400 per month for this 192,000 loan and short of that amount, you prefer to foreclose. Fools, complete fools, but now you have my home. After 33 years of living in this home, you now have it and you can write off $100,000...Yes that sounds like really good business. No wonder you people need bailouts. You are stupid and what is worse, you are evil. I believe in Karma and I must have done something to deserve this hell, but you will be rewarded as well.
