Are you a broad-brush painter?
We're just finishing up the painting on the house. It's more comical than anything. I have children all asking to "help" and I'm somewhere between, "Absolutely not!" and "Why not...I can always paint over it."
I gave the boys a roller and a 3-inch brush and said, "Be careful". I had a little 3/4" artist brush to do the edges. The day before my husband had the paint sprayer...talk about broad-brush painting! He sprayed the entire house in 45 minutes!
I've heard it said that we're all divided into "broad-brush" people and those of us with a more detailed style. There are those who paint the world in one stroke and those of us who detail people to death.
As you can tell, I have a small brush look on life. I get absorbed in the details which often overwhelm me. I'm great at finding lost items. I remember dates and times and read the instructions to assemble things! I ask for directions and read maps. I put things away where they belong and think we should follow all the rules.
But, I'm glad for broad-brush people. First of all, they make me really look organized!! But, they do something else...they see the forest and not the trees. Trees are great but sometimes you need to just concentrate on the forest.
Your foreclosure is made up of lots of trees. You have all kinds of emotions and pressures building inside you, each one enough to overwhelm you. You have phone calls and mail coming to your door which makes you afraid to start a new day. You have lots of unanswered questions for your family and friends.
But, please....look to the forest. Look at the big picture. Appreciate the here-and-now for the many blessings you have. Let us concentrate on the "trees" and help you stop your foreclosure. Keep your eyes on the horizon while we work on the details.
