Sometimes the best alternative is to sell your home.

April 03, 2007

In rare cases we have to advise people that their only option may be to sell the house. If you have an ARM in the rate has gone up to that point we simply can't afford it there is not much that we can do to help you. We have established a real estate network for people that are in this situation. This network will allow you to find real estate agents that are AFS partners to help you get the most out of your house and sell it quickly. Contact us and we will list your house in our network and the real estate agents that are in your area will be contact with you. This will allow you to choose the agent that you feel comfortable with and will do the best job for you.

"On April 1, 2007 my ARM went up. I filed a Chapter 13 but with the large increase in my mortgage payment I am not able to make the payments. I got behind on payments because of a dental procedure that needed to be done and I had to pay cash. The mortgage company would not work with me. Every time I spoke with a different representative each of them had a different figure I needed to pay them and they would not let me do forbearance because my income was too low they said. If that's the case they sure had no problem in the first place when they borrowed the money to me and my income was even lower at that point. Right now I feel that there is NOTHING that can be done to save my home. My FICO credit score is in the 400s and my Chapter 13 did not work out. Is there anything that your company can do to help me? It's my family home -- I've lived there for 48 years. My mother gave me the home in 2001 (it was paid for) and then she passed away. Can you talk to Ameriquest and see if something can be done. What are your fees and charges? I don't have a lot of money to work with."

We know we list that we can help anyone stop the foreclosure… sometimes the best way to stop the foreclosure does not involve you keeping your house. Some people need to sell their home to avoid a foreclosure on their record which may prevent them from getting another mortgage for a long time. It is unfortunate but reality must be the final check to whether you can keep your home. The Real Estate Network is another alternative that we hope will be beneficial to our clients.
