Should not file chapter 13 bankruptcy?
California foreclosure
This is an actual comment for a client:
”We only have a few days until foreclosure...we have met with a consumer counselor and they suggested Ch13...can you offer any other ideas quickly”
If you're sale date is indeed only a few days away we still have time to get the mortgage worked out with the current lender. We can do our negotiations and get you in some sort of a workout with than one day. I would always recommend trying to get something worked out with the lender before filing bankruptcy. Bankruptcy may still be an option but always it should be the last.
