Should I file bankruptcy?
Oregon foreclosure
This is an actual client request:
"We want to stop the sale of our house in 2 days . We were working with a company that was trying to short sale our house and then was going to sell our morgage to an investor so we could do the buy back program. That company informed us tonight that GMAC will not agree to any thing and they are going ahead with the sale on 2-16-07. So I need to file bankruptcy, but I can,t seem to find inexpencive forms to download."
Just because GMAC will agree to do anything doesn't mean we won't get something worked out. We need a least one day and information from you on your finances to get this worked out and stop the foreclosure.
If bankruptcy is your only alternative we have the necessary paperwork that you will need to file with your local bankruptcy court. You can file a bankruptcy without the attorney expenses. All you need is the necessary paperwork and pay the court filing fee and a bankruptcy will the process. The bankruptcy filing will stop any foreclosure action immediately and allow you some time to work out your financial situation. This should only be used as a stopgap measure as 75% of all bankruptcies fail within the first year.
As always we can I give you legal advice is we are not attorneys, please consult an attorney in your area for legal advice. If
