A seperation has me behind, I want to save my home
This mortgage company has been very willing to work with me in the past. My marriage ended in 2005 and even though mine and my husband's name are both on the loan (we are legally separated) he has not paid any money on the mortgage. I fell behind when he left and in the summer of 2006 the mortgage company allowed me to pay 1000.00 a month for 4 months and then did a modification. However, this past summer of 2007 I fell behind again due to my being in school full time, my student loans not coming through on time, my work situation, and problems with child support. By the time I had secured a good full time job (in the field I went to college for) and got child support straightened out (through a court order) and I had received my student loans I had fallen too far behind. I have filled out the paperwork with my mortgage company asking for a repayment plan but it takes 4-6 weeks to hear back on that. I am not sure what to do at this point. Foreclosure proceedings continue, this I know, until the investors decide if they want to help me. I am in a good job now and am getting my child support now and can DEFINITELY make my payments now. I sent them all of my financial information, my hardship letter, etc.. Is there anything further I can do? I don't want to lose my home!
