Medical issues have gotten me down

I have had medical problem in which I was out of work for almost a year but now thats cleared up never could get back on track with my bills

I was incarcerated for 8 months on a restraining order violation. I was fortunate to rent my home to make mortgage payments. My sister was in command of collecting rents and paying my mortgage. However, she ran into financial struggle and used my mortgage to pay her mortgage and I was not aware of this until recently. I was injured in a car accident one month ago and entitled to a cash settlement. When this settlement will be settled is anyones guess. I am not able to work due to my injuries and have no income until a claim with workman's compensation is granted. I am at a lose3 on what to do. If I lose my home over this ordeal I will become homeless and not able to work. Can you help me please.
