We got behind because the interest rate went up again. We talked about a modification and they agreed. But when we got the agreement in the mail they wanted 3 months of $3,100 and then the 4th month of $20,000 to be current and we are only three months behind. They said this was based off our income of $6,000 a month and have distroyed our credit. They will not change or do anything to help us, this was not the verbal agreement we had on the phone. We have 9 children and they send peolpe out to our house to check on the propety instead of calling us they charge us and say we were unreachable. These people are criminals!!!!!

This same thing is happening to me right now. My employer cut my hours back to 32 in in June. Although my payments were only $652 per month, we fell behind. We are 3 months behind and our mortgage company wants us to make our regular payments starting next month and then a lump sum of $2000 in January. We don't have this. What can we do??

I can not believe it .I was denied as am a Real Estate Broker in Madera,Cal. I did everything corectly.Went to a HUD counselor, did the packet as instructed.Never missed a payment on the modification .Had provided them why and the documentation why I fell behind in 2008.How my income has increased well over double. Now with all the penalties I originaly owed was around 220,000 now I owe 249,00.A home sold next to for 140,000 last month.I can not help but wonder if they see a forclosure would benefit them as I am sure they get bailed out by other sources namely the government. As Select Portfolio now want me to pay $2300 and pay to back all the penalities they charged. I felt when they called to tell me it denied,it was cold and heartless giving me no alternatives,This is all I have now,I am devestated.

Citi Mortgage is scum, I found that when they bought my mortgage from my original lender, they increased my interest even though I was on a fixed conventional loan, have me as having a second mortgage when I only have one and increased my payments by by $150 a month,I have been trying to work with them and I keep getting the run around and different information from everyone I talk to. WTF!!
