Ch 13 Bankruptcy did us no good at all...
After Katrina, mortgage company put us on a program and after 3 months our payment went from 845 to 1347, more than we could pay on time. I am a Registered nurse, and was hurt in a fall at a friend's apartment. Since then I have had two surgeries to repair a knee and a shoulder and have another surgery scheduled. We wanted to file a Chapter 13 to reorganize, but until I can go back to work, we can't make the Bankruptcy payments and the court won't allow the Chapter 13 if we have no money on the court date. We don't want to file a Chapter 7 and lose our home. Is there any help for us?
